Embroidery FAQ

Items in the store are priced with a standard logo size embroidery design included. If a design is not specified with an item, choose the design you would like on the item you are purchasing from the design gallery and add your choice and preferences in the comment box in the checkout process. If you have any questions on your choice, send me a message and I will answer as soon as possible to assist you with your order. If I am adding text, I prefer to email a computer generated picture of the design for approval before embroidering to verify spelling, layout and color.

What is a standard size design?

For an adult shirt left chest logo, size of design should be a maximum of 4 inches high and around 3.5 wide including text. This is slightly flexible but difficult on medium and small shirts.

I occasionally stitch designs on sleeves and the back yoke of a denim shirt or any place you'd like as long as it can be hooped!

Caps are entirely different! Due to the large variety of styles and structures, it is best to stay 2" or less in height and 4" in width on pre-made caps.

As you can see in the photo above, the visor is against the back of the embroidery head and an arm is under the cap front. When the design is too high, the arm presses into the top of the crown distorting the cap. Very complicated large designs with many outlined areas will not line up correctly due to the cap rotating back and forth and stress placed on the fabric when the design is too large.

How much does it cost for design setup?
For simple additions of text or quick editing or resizing of a design, there is no extra charge. There is a charge for more time consuming changes or custom digitizing of logos . It cost nothing to ask!
